DreamPlan Home Design Software is specifically intended to create 3D models of homes. This comes in particularly handy for those who are planning their future home or want to make a remodeling.
The program’s interface is conveniently divided into tabs, which are labeled according to their purpose: Building, Exterior, Interior and Landscaping. First, you can start from adding walls. Then, it is possible to insert windows and doors. Likewise, there are various floor styles to choose from. Finally, you put a roof, also in various shapes and slopes. Once you have planned the building, it is possible to place the different pieces of furniture and decorative objects. For this purpose, there is a huge collection of objects, which saves you from the effort of creating them yourself. Fortunately, you are allowed to plan a garden as well, including plants (of course!), lighting elements and paths. Good news is that the program allows not only 3D views but also 2D blueprints. This way, you can design floor plans, which helps you plan the distribution of the rooms before even creating the walls.
To sum up, DreamPlan Home Design Software is certainly not as sophisticated as those advanced CAD tools architects and designers use to create their models. However, it comes with most of the features needed by the laypeople to plan and even fantasize about their future homes. The product is free for non-commercial use. Additionally, there are paid licenses for home and commercial purposes.

Wish I had read the comments above before proceeding with designing home. Useless, including the fact that it does not show measurements.
How can you use plans, which are not possible to print. It is a major function of a design software that you print what you create! Useless, if not possible to print.
I have to think you have heard from many people that would love to be able to print out the buildings created in this software. I would gladly pay for this as an option. It doesn't make me confident at the software to think of a basic function was simply left out by the designers of this software.
